World Cup 2022: Argentina’s De Paul trains separately ahead of Quarterfinal against Netherlands; injury suspected

The Copa America champions Argentina will face the Netherlands on Friday in a crucial quarter-finals clash with the aim to progress through to the semi-finals. Messi’s side had a disastrous start to their campaign with a loss against Saudi Arabia, but then they managed to top their group by winning against Mexico and Poland. And now for the game against Holland, Lionel Scaloni needs to put his best starting 11 in order to have any chance to progress.

However, he might face a blow in the midfield as it widely reported in the Argentine media that today Rodrigo De Paul who is the heart of Scaloni’s midfield was training separately and there is a possibility that he could miss the game against the Netherlands.

Rodrigo de Paul feared injured ahead of big quarterfinal clash

According to the reports, the South American side are still conducting tests about his injury, but early reports say that it is a muscle injury. Hence because of this situation, the Argentine coach today tried a midfield of Leandro Paredes, Enzo Fernández and Alexis Mac Allister in training.

But there is still hope that De Paul could return to the age, but this will be due to having some injections before the game which will keep him fit for the 90 minutes. All in all, if Rodrigo does indeed miss out the match, it would be a huge loss for the South American team.
