Watch Virat’s brilliant fielding in Warm Up game against Australia at Gabba

Virat’s acrobatics on the field helped India come back from a seemingly hopeless situation to win the game.

India took on the hosts and the defending champions in the opening warm-up game at the Gabba.

India batted first and finished with a massive 186 at the conclusion of 20 overs. Thanks to Suryakumar and KL’s careful planning.

Australia had a difficult start, but with only 16 needed off the final two overs, the king brought the house down with some great fielding.

Harshal deceived skipper Finch with the first ball of the 19th over, and the very next ball, Virat sprinted across the field to grab the ball and hit the bull’s-eye to dismiss the brisk hitter Tim David. He threw some life back into the game by sending David back, and with two new batters at the plate, things were looking a little iffy.

Mohammad Shami was given the ball with 11 runs needed off the final over. Cummins sent one past Shami off the third ball, and what appeared to be a certain six was plucked out of thin air by the man himself, sending Australia’s last hopes back inside.

Kohli may not have done much with the bat, but you can’t keep him out of the game with two catches and an athletic run out. It is safe to claim that he led his team to victory. He exemplifies outstanding fitness and leadership by excelling in all areas.
