Vijay Hazare Trophy: Ruturaj Gaikwad smashes 7 sixes in an over against UP
The Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 has been full of surprises and record breaking innings.
Earlier we witnessed a masterclass by N Jagadeesan as he broke the world record for most runs in an inning.
Now his ex-IPL team mate Ruturaj Gaikwad has done something similar. Albeit in an over, rather than an inning.
Ruturaj Gaikwad has been in phenomenal form in this season. And he now has a unique record to his name to show for it.
He scores a total of 43 runs from a single over against UP by scoring 7 sixes in the over.
It was an amazing inning by the Maharashtra Captain who came to his team’s rescue earlier on. And later finished with 200 runs to his name.

He created history in List A cricket in 49th Over of the game. In that over he sent Spinner Shiva Singh all around the park to smash 7 sixes in the over.
With his phenomenal effort, Maharastra Posted the mammoth total of 330 in their 50 overs.
Gaikwad also carried his bat through in the match by scoring an unbeaten inning of 220 runs in just 159 balls. He smashed a total of 16 sixes and 10 fours, at a strike rate of 138.
This inning will surely go down as one of the most iconic innings in the history of Vijay Hazare Trophy.
