Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 QF results: Maharashtra, Assam, Saurashtra, Karnataka make it to Semi finals

The knocout stages of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 have been full of delights and pain for many.
In the pre quarterfinals we witnessed some major setbacks. And the trend continues in the quarter finals as well.
Let’s take a look at results of the Quarter Finals of Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Quarter final 1 : Maharashtra :- 330/5 (50) vs Uttar Pradesh :- 272 ( 47.4)
A match that promised a high octane thriller to begin with as Maharashtra took on Uttar Pradesh. UP , riding high after their win against Mumbai were up to the task.
Match Results:- Maharashtra won by 55 runs.
Match Review:- Ruturaj Gaikwad’s unbeaten 220 of 159 balls with a record -setting 43 runs in 1 over, helped Maharashtra put up a challenging total of 330. Hangargekar took a 5 – fer for Maharashtra with the ball to restrict UP to 272 . UP’s only resistance came from Aryan Juyal who scored a gritty 159 of 143 balls .
Quarter Final 2: Saurastra :- 293/8 (50) vs Tamil Nadu :- 249 (48)
Upbeat Tamil Nadu, led by Baba Indrajith locked horns with Saurastra in this ” Clash of the Titans”. Saurastra, on the other hand, led by Jaydev Unadkad were the Group toppers who were determined to carry on their winning streak.
Match Result:- Saurastra won by 44 runs.
Match Review:- Saurastra batted first to put up a challenging 293 in their allotted 50 overs with Vasavada and Jani scoring getting past the half-century mark. TN struggled as they lost 4 wickets for 51 runs before Indrajith and Sai Kishore stitched together a 112 run partnership. However, they lost momentum after Indrajith was dismissed and were all out for 249 as Jani scalped 3 with the ball.
Quarter Final 3 : Punjab :- 235 (50) vs Karnataka :- 238/9 (49.2)
Karnataka took on Punjab who were unbeaten in the tournament till now. Considered to be the only game where there wasn’t much to separate the 2 teams, however, on papers, the Karnataka team had the edge due to their batting strength.
Match Result:- Karnataka won by 4 wickets with 4 balls to spare.
Match Review:- Batting first, Punjab struggled from the very beginning, losing 3 wickets with only 34 runs on the board. Only Abhishek Sharma put up a fight with his splendid 109 as Punjab managed a meagre 235. It was a comfortable win for Karnataka , as R Samarth flourished with 71 runs.
Quarter Final 4: Jammu and Kashmir:- 350/7 (50) vs Assam:- 354/3 (46.1)
Assam , fresh from their win against Delhi took on Jammu and Kashmir who came to the quarter finals after a splendid performance against Kerala. Both teams were confident coming into the game.
Match Result:- Assam won by 7 wickets.
Match Review:- Khajuria ( 120 of 84 balls) and Nazir ( 124 of 113 balls) propelled J & K to 350 in their allotted 50 overs on a better of a pitch. However, Riyan Parag ( 174 of 116 balls) did the unthinkable as he and Das ( 114 of 118 balls) stitched together a 276 run partnership that saw Assam home.
