Switzerland announce squad for FIFA World Cup 2022; know details

Switzerland who are one of the underdogs in the tournament are the latest team to announce their 26-man squad that’ll fly to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup. This is their 5th consecutive appearance in this tournament and they’ll surely look to make this a historic one.

However, it won’t as easy for the Swiss as they are in a group with the favourites Brazil and as well as Cameroon and Serbia. Hence in order to have any chance of having a successful tournament, they’ll need to top their group in order to avoid the big teams in the knockout stages.

They do indeed have the potential to pull off a shock result as last year in Euros, they defeated the World Cup winners France in the Round of 16, so this clearly states that against Brazil they do have a chance. The Swiss would be relying upon the likes of Shaqiri and Granit Xhaka for a successful tournament.
