Real Mardid’s Luca Modrić suffers hip injury during international break; know more details

After Barcelona, it is Real Madrid’s turn to keep up with their injury quota. And the news from the center suggests that it is Luca Modrić who has suffered an injury.

Real Madrid has had their fair share of injuries this season. They started off the season without their ace striker Karim Benzema. Later their defender Eder Militao also was ruled out for several matches. And made a return against Atletico last week.

Even Benzema has been reported to be training with the team. So, everything was looking up for the Madrid team until the Modrić news hit the internet.

According to a tweet by Jose Luis Sanchez, Modrić has suffered a hip injury, which is more than likely to rule him out for over ten days.

This has given Real Madrid a great deal of concern. The 37-year-old Croatian midfielder has been their go-to man this season. He is playing sensational football. Controlling the midfield to his will and making it possible for Madrid to make the killer moves on the field that has kept them unbeaten this season so far.

As much as everyone in Madrid loves Modric and would like to see him on the field, it should not reflect too much on their performance. Given that they have some great depth in midfield this year.
