An Unbeaten Real Madrid side get their way out of the derby by beating Atletico Madrid in their own backyard as Madridsta’s dream start to the season continues.

Match Summary

The Defending Champions of La liga defeat their neighbors in a tight 2-1 victory at the Metropolitano which was buzzed and hyped up for the clash following the controversy of the Brazilian Winger. The hosts were all geared up for the match because as soon as the first half started they created three big chances for their side within the first 14 minutes.

One was a side netting, one hit the roof of the net and the third one was a brilliant long range effort . However ,on the 17th minute a Clinical Real Madrid  attack with ample of space scored their first goal as it was Rodrygo with the ruthless finish in the box and Tchoumeni with the lob assist.

The Brazilian celebrated with his teammate Vinicius Jr by dancing which was bound to happen after Koke’s and Spanish Agent’s comments this weekend. On the 35th minute it was Vinicius Jr with a good run who was 1v1 with the keeper.

The Brazilian winger hits the post which leaves Valverde for an open goal. Surely the visitors were in Cruise control when they went in the dressing room at Half time.

In the second half Simeone’s side showed character and fought back but could only get one goal out of the 45 minutes they had. The goal was scored by Hermoso when Atletico Madrid was awarded a corner.

The player shoved the ball off his back into the net to give the home crowd a bit hope on the 83rd minute but the hope seemed to be a  Consolation goal as minutes later Hermoso received his second yellow for the night .

Real Madrid is on cloud nine after they make it 6 in 6  and go top of the table just by two points. Real Madrid defeated their arch rivals who could be one of their hurdles in the title race this season. Ancelotti’s side has performed well this season as the average 3 goals per match.

Atletico Madrid’s Dilemma Continues

The other side of Madrid are still struggling as they stand on 7th position with 3 wins 2 losses and 1 draw . They will be without Hermoso for the next league games as Atletico Madrid are profound for picking up red cards in big games. Their Champions league season is under scrutiny too as they lost to Leverkusen which puts them on 3rd position as of now.
