Pro Kabaddi: Himanshu Singh and Narender Hoshiyar help Tamil Thaliva register first win of season; they defeat Patna Pirates by 33-32

Patna Pirates suffer from Monday blues in their first encounter of the week against Tamil Thalivas. They suffer a tantalizing loss by the margin of 1 points.

It was one of those games where audience were expecting something explosive to happen. The two teams on the mat were suffering from a similar fate in the 9th season of PKL. And looking for their first win.

But only one team could claim it. And thanks to some great performance by Narender and Himanshu, Tamil Thalivas turned out to be that team.

The match opened as a close encounter. But Patna started forming a grip around their opponents. At the half time mark, they led by 2 points. They had inflicted an all out and seemed to be the more composed team.

Tamil Thalivas’ raiders put up a great show

Thalivas on the other hand had a narrow escape from all out for a second time. Thanks to Himanshu who picked up 6 points in just two raids to redeem his team.

He provided Narender Hoshiyar with a much-needed support. And ended up being the highest scoring raider of the match.

Himanshu scored 11 points from his raids, while coming on to the matt as a substitute. Alongside him Narender Hoshiyar scored 9 points.

The story was reversed for Patna Pirates in today’s game. Their star Raider Sachin gave a lackluster performance. While Rohit Gulia scored a super 10 for his side.

In  the end, it was Thalivas’ defense that came to their rescue. They performed some important tackles to inflict an all out on Patna. This changed the complexion of the game and brought Tamil Thalivas into lead.

 A lead that they did not give up until the final whistle was blown.

Tamil Thalivas climb to the 8th position of the table with this vicoty. Patna on the other hand are still languishing at the bottom of the table, looking to secure their  first victory of the season.
