It’s a rematch between Portugal and Uruguay as these two teams faced each other in the Round of 16 at the 2018 World Cup where the South American side emerged victorious, courtesy of an Edinson Cavani brace. Hence, this time out the European giants would be looking to take revenge for what happened in 2018 as Ronaldo’s team are coming into this game knowing that they’ll qualify for the knockout stages with a win. Santos’s men had a tricky start to their tournament as they just edged a win against Ghana by a score of 3-2 and this was because Ghana’s Inaki Williams missed a crucial chance at the end of the game. But now the Portuguese side would be looking to continue on that winning momentum against Uruguay.

However, beating the South American giants won’t be that easy cause although they suffered a goalless draw in their first game against South Korea, it was clearly seen in that match that Uruguay were the better side. It just wasn’t their day cause despite hitting the woodwork twice, they didn’t manage to score. But now they would be looking to avenge that result by a win against a team like Portugal and it’s simple for the South American cause they need to win both of their remaining matches in order to top the group. All in all, this would be an interesting encounter as both teams would be looking to achieve the top spot cause that qualifies second will most likely face Brazil in the Round of 16 which would be simply catastrophic.
