Neeraj Chopra will kick off his World Athletics Championship preparation in Turkey

In his quest for a world championship medal, the Indian gold medalist is all set to travel to Turkey.
According to a report by TOI, the Tokyo Olympics Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra will undergo a 44-day training stint to prepare for the upcoming World Athletics Championships in Oregon, USA.
Neeraj Chopra created history on several fronts in Tokyo Olympics. For starters, he became the first Indian player to win a medal in athletics. However, that is not where his accolades end.
Chopra also became the youngest Indian to have won a gold medal. That too on his Olympic debut.
His outstanding performance in the Olympics won him a great deal of fan following among Indians. Today he has turned into a household name in India. And the 24-year-old will be looking to continue his red hot form in coming competitions.

Speaking about his preparations, Neeraj informed TOI, “After my winter training stint in the United States, the exposure trip to Turkey will be an important part of my preparation phase ahead of a challenging 2022 season.”
He further added that he is very keen to continue his training and work hard to be in the best shape possible in order to give his best performance in the upcoming events this year.
Naturally, all eyes will be on him, and people will eagerly expect another win. The Sports Authority of India is also willing to do its best for Neeraj. This is why they have arranged the best training for their star. On Neeraj’s six-week training stint in Turkey, the SAI will spend Rs 50,000 per day, according to TOI.
Avid fans of the javelin thrower will be excited to know that Neeraj will also participate in the Diamond Leagues, the Worlds, CWG and the Asian Games this year. It sure is a busy and important year for our young Olympic Gold Medalist, but he has the wholehearted support of the nation.
