Manchester United sign Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina

Manchester United sign Sofyan Amrabat on loan from Fiorentina. The Red Devils will pay €10 million loan fee with an option to make the deal permanent for €20 million plus €5 million add-ons.
Moreover, the club has also signed Segrio Reguilon, Jonny Evans and goalkeeper Altay Bayindir on deadline day.
After Fred was sold to Fenerbahce for €15 million earlier this month, United decided to go for the Moroccan midfielder. Moreover, Fiorentina have signed Maxime Lopez from Sassuolo to replace Amrabat.
Amrabat spent three seasons at La Viola, making 92 league appearances and scoring once. He also starred for Morocco and helped them to finish fourth at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Manchester United sign Sofyan Amrabat to solve their midfield problems
The 27-year-old midfielder has already played under Ten Hag at Utrecht six years ago, so he knows him well and will need less time to adapt.
Since the start of the new season, United have not been good, as they narrowly won against Wolves and Nottingham Forest. Moreover, Tottenham outclassed Erik ten Hag’s side.
After two narrow wins and a defeat, United sit at 8th in the Premier League table. The team is unable to create chances in midfield, even after signing Mason Mount for a big fee.
However, now they have signed Amrabat, who will help them to control games and will give them defensive stability alongside Casemiro.
But, it will all depend on Ten Hag now and how structures his team with his new signings.
United will face Arsenal on Sunday away from home at the Emirates, and this may be the perfect match to regain their form by playing good football against the Gunners.
