Sachin Tendulkar debuted for Indian Test Cricket Team at 16 Years 205 Days against the team’s archrivals Pakistan in Karachi on 15th November 1989, becoming the Youngest Debutant in Indian Cricket history.

In the first match of the tour, Sachin could only manage to score 15 runs. Throughout the tour, across six innings, Sachin scored 215 runs. Over the years in his career, Sachin Tendulkar has scored 34,357 runs and is the highest run-scorer in the game’s history. 

2. Parthiv Patel (17 Years 153 Days) 

India’s former Wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel comes second on the list of Top Young Cricketers India. Parthiv played for the Indian cricket team across all formats and became one of the key players of the team. 

Parthiv debuted for the Indian cricket team at the age of 17 Years 153 days against England on 8th August 2002. He also became the youngest Wicket keeper batsman in the Test Cricket format. Over the years in his career, Parthiv Patel has scored 1,706 runs for the Indian Cricket Team.

3. Maninder Singh  (17 Years 193 Days) 

Maninder Singh was once too one of the top players and a proud representative of Young Indian Cricketers. He was one of the key players of the 1983 World Cup winning squad of the Indian cricket team. Singh made his debut for the Indian cricket team at the age of 17 years, 193 days, against the team’s archrivals Pakistan on 23rd December 1982. 

During his peak years, Maninder was considered the prodigy and successor of Bishan Singh Bedi. Over the years in his career, Maninder Singh has sent 154 batsmen back to their team dugout with his dismissals with the best figures of 7/27 for the Indian Cricket Team. 

4. Harbhajan Singh  (17 Years 288 Days) 

India’s second most successful Spinner, Harbhajan Singh, was one of the top Young Cricketers India. Harbhajan has been a crucial part of the Indian team across all formats and has been a part of India’s World Cup-winning squads. 

Harbhajan Singh played his first game for India at the age of 17 years 288 days against Australia on 25th March 1998. In his debut cricket match, Harbhajan took a splendid wicket which made him a good candidate for the team.

5. Washington Sundar  (18 Years 80 Days) 

Washington Sundar stands tall to have the record of being the youngest cricketer in Indian team for the T20 cricket team. Sundar made his debut for the team at the age of 18 years 80 days, took a wicket in the match against Sri Lanka on 24th December 2017, and is considered one of the most promising all-rounder players in the country. Over the years in his career, Washington Sundar has taken 58 wickets in a total of 66 games. He has the best figures of 3/89 for the Indian Cricket Team. 

6. Prithvi Shaw (18 Years 319 Days)

Prithvi Shaw is the second Young Cricket Debutants for India, representing the country on the biggest stage of the game. The 23 Year Old Prithvi Shaw ( one of the youngest cricketers in Indian team)  received his test debut cap and made his debut for the Indian cricket team at the age of 18 years 319 days against West Indies on 4th October 2018. 

Prithvi smashed a century in his debut game and became the youngest Indian cricketer to score a century in his debut match. Over the years in his career, Prithvi Shaw has scored 528 runs across all formats of the game for the Indian cricket team. 

7. Rishabh Pant (19 Years 120 Days)

Rishabh Pant is a part of the Young Indian Cricketers’ brigade and most anticipated players we have on the list of youngest cricketers in the Indian team in cricket. Due to his brilliance with the bat and quick hands behind the stumps, Rishabh Pant is eyed as the successor of India’s former captain MS Dhoni.
