Kuldeep Sen ruled out of 2nd ODI against Bangladesh after complaining of back stiffness

Indian pacer Kuldeep Sen was rested and not available for selection as Team India attempts to make a comeback in the series after losing the first ODI by a narrow margin.

Kuldeep, who made his ODI debut in the first match, was unable to be selected due to back stiffness. Kuldeep was evaluated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and advised to relax.
Umran Malik has been named to India’s XI for their crucial match against the hosts. After winning the toss, Bangladesh captain Litton Das elected to bat first. The home team also makes one change from the last game, with Nasum Ahmed replacing Hasan Mahmud.
Kuldeep Sen Struggling With Back Stiffness
Kuldeep Sen grumbled of back tightness after the first ODI. The BCCI Medical Team advised him to rest after evaluating him. He was not available for selection for the second ODI.
“Kuldeep Sen complained of back stiffness following the first ODI against Bangladesh on Sunday. The BCCI Medical Team assessed him and has advised him rest. He was not available for selection for the 2nd ODI,” said the BCCI.
In addition to Kuldeep, India made another change to their starting XI. After regaining his fitness, Axar Patel, a seasoned all-rounder who missed selection due to a niggle, has quickly replaced Shahbaz Ahmed in the lineup.
