2010 World Cup winners Spain have their qualifying hopes for the knockout stages on the edge as it will come down to the last matchday in the group stage when they’ll face the Asian giant Japan. Group E is going to be the group of death as all teams in the group have a chance to qualify for the knockouts in their last match which is why it’s going to be an absolute rollercoaster when both matches would start on the same time.

Now coming into this encounter, Japan are currently 2nd in the table with 3 points and they do know that if they win against Spain they’ll top their group but even if they manage to draw, there’s a chance that they could qualify but then they would depend on the results of a match between Costa Rica and Germany.

Luis Enrique’s men are coming into this crucial match as the rightful favourites and are currently at the top of their group. They are currently in good form as they are still unbeaten in the group and they would be looking to have a successful tournament this year cause they have got knocked out in the last 16 in 2018 and got knocked out in the group stage in 2014.

In this encounter, even if they manage a draw, they would be through, however, they would be looking to finish 1st as then they wold likely face Morocco in the Round of 16. But if they finish 2nd, they’ll most likely face Belgium in their first knockout game which would be absolutely terrible.
