The Indian Premier League mini-auction will be conducted on December 23 in Kochi, according to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Despite the fact that it will be a mini auction in comparison to the mega auction ahead of the 2022 edition. Each team will have an additional 5 crore to spend at this auction, bringing the total purse to 95 crores (about $11.5 million). This is the money the teams had left over from their previous auction purse.

“The total purse will be around Rs 94-95 crore,” a BCCI insider said.

According to the details, Punjab Kings had the biggest purse left over – 3.45 crore – after last year’s auction, and Chennai Super Kings had INR 2.95 crore remaining with them, followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore (1.55), Rajasthan Royals (0.95 crores or approx.) and Kolkata Knight Riders (0.45 crore, or approx.), Gujarat Titans (0.15), and three teams — Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Delhi Capitals Lucknow Super Giants have spent their entire budget.

Gujarat Titans, the defending champions, were left with INR 0.15 crore (about. US $18,000), while three other teams – Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Delhi Capitals – received INR 0.10 crore (approx. US $12,000).

After the teams submit their list of released players by November 15, the IPL is scheduled to finalize the player pool for the auction by early December.
