Hector Bellerin suffers injury, Xavi’s Barcelona finds itself in troubled waters

Now that the International break is over, all the players will return to their respective clubs and play for them until the World Cup starts. But Barcelona haven’t been lucky in the break as many of the players got injured while they were with their national teams with the likes of Memphis Depay, Frenkie De Jong, Ronald Araujo and Jules Kounde on the list.

However, there is yet another injury concern for the Catalan giants cause Hector Bellerin who was the man that Xavi was relying on to cover that right back area with Kounde and Araujo not available has suffered some discomfort in the training sessions.

It is widely reported and also said by the club that he felt calf pain when he had to change directions when running. He’s now going to have to undergo further tests on Wednesday to discover the true extent of that injury. However, the club considers that it is not something serious and it’s not going to be a big problem but it is far from ideal mainly because Barca plays Mallorca on Saturday which is in a few days’ time.

And now that Xavi has to bear yet another injury, it’s going to be really difficult for him to choose the starting lineup cause even the backup right back Sergi Roberto hasn’t received the medical green light yet to play. Apparently, he’s still not fully recovered from the injury that happened to him before the international break and hence Xavi really has to think outside the box to win the next match.
