Glenn Maxwell feels the Big Bash League will be unable to afford Suryakumar Yadav

Glenn Maxwell, an Australian allrounder and two-time World Cup winner, expresses his thoughts in a funny manner.

Glenn Maxwell, an Australian all-rounder, is currently battling a knee injury and his return date is yet to be determined, but the fiery all-rounder is expected to be sidelined for some time. Maxwell recently discussed Suryakumar Yadav’s panache on the Grade Cricketer podcast.
The Big Bash League is about to begin, and the Melbourne Stars have been dealt a big blow because Maxwell was their selected captain. Melbourne Stars are aiming for their first BBL crown, but they will have to do so without their skipper (for the initial matches at least).
However, Royal Challengers Bangalore have kept the Australian all-rounder for the IPL 2023 because they feel he will be fit for the competition. Maxwell has undoubtedly become an important member of the RCB squad, and Mike Hesson has also confirmed the all-availability rounder’s for the competition.
Glenn Maxwell feels bestows huge praise on Suryakumar Yadav
Glenn Maxwell recently spoke about Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav on the Grade Cricketer podcast. The BBL has been chastised for not having enough international talent, which is why the tournament held its first-ever international players’ draught this season.
Maxwell joked about Suryakumar, saying that the Big Bash League cannot afford to have a player like him in the league. He stated that in order to afford a talent like Suryakumar, the event will have to fire everyone.
“We won’t be able to afford Suryakumar Yadav in the Big Bash League even with all the money which is there in our cap. We’ve to sack everyone (laughs),” Maxwell said.
It should be mentioned that Indian players are not permitted to play in abroad T20 leagues unless they retire. The launch of the ILT20 League and the SA 20 League within the same timeframe dealt a severe blow to the BBL. Due to financial constraints, the bulk of overseas players have decided to play in those leagues.
