France Affirms Christopher Nkunku Out of World Cup 2022; know injury details

Christopher Nkunku is confirmed by the French federation to be out of the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022, which is about to begin in less than a week, after heart-breakingly suffering an injury while training with his national team just 7 days before the opening game for the French side.
The RB Leipzig forward, Nkunku, was anticipated to play a huge role in France’s World Cup team’s defence after stunningly scoring 42 goals himself for the Bundesliga giants.
Chistopher Nkunku injury updates
He caught the injury after enduring a heavy challenge by his own teammate and Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga while training, which has now ended all the hopes the striker had of shining in the World Cup.
“The X-ray examinations carried out in the evening, unfortunately, revealed that it was a sprain,” the French federation said in a statement.
The forward left his Wednesday training session limping on one foot and quite early before the due time. At the same time, a video footage has been making quite some rounds on social media, giving us a view of the Real Madrid midfielder clattering into his teammate Nkunku, the same clash that has now led to Nkunku being left out of France’s World Cup team.
The French side has still not revealed Nkunku’s replacement for the tournament after this event of injury and has been waiting on the announcement till the medical file is sent to the FIFA association and validated. This has left dozens of France fans worried about the injured forward and also worried about the fate of the team in the World Cup.
Only time will unfold the team’s fate in the tournament, where dangerous endeavours await them. This is also because, over and above Nkunku’s injury, the French will be without the injured defender Presnel Kimpembe, who would sit the World Cup home because of a hamstring injury.
