Foden and Haaland score hattricks as Manchester City beat United 6-3

Manchester City were treated with a Derby day delight as they thrashed their neighbour 6-3 this weekend. Haaland and Foden had been deadly  in that strike force against united as both youngsters scored a hattrick.

The Haaland – Foden Show

Both the youngsters put on a show in the Eithiad against their arch rivals Manchester United. The city strike force made their intension clear from minute one as they were outplaying that United defence time and time again.

The first goal came in early with a brilliant finish from Foden inside the box, on the 34th minute Erling Haaland scored a towering header from a city corner which had enough power to cross the goal line. Soon after 3 minutes Kevin De Bruyne had delivered a delicious ball and Haaland gave Manchester city a three goal lead by putting the ball in the back of the net.

Just on the brink of half time Foden had a tap in on the back post and gave City a 4 goal lead, on the 64th minute haaland completed his hattrick against the team which he looked forward to playing the most. 73rd minute goal by Foden was not only a cherry on the cake for City but also a nail in the Coffin for Manchester United.

United’s Match Summary

The first United goal gave a raise of sun shine for the red devils as Antony took a beautiful touch and scored a sledge hammer infront of the City fans to get back in the game ,no doubt this Manchester United side gave their all.

Martial got his minutes and scored a header from a rebound to get a goal but surely it wasn’t enough, in the dying minutes of the second half Martial scored a consolation penalty for Manchester United to end the game 6-3.Surprisingly for United fans Ronaldo didn’t play in the derby which is stated controversial.
