FIFA 2022: Kylian Mbappe returns to France training

It was widely reported in the french media a couple of days ago that the talisman of the French footballing team Kylian Mbappe has missed the training session and was a doubt to play in the quarter-finals against England.
However, today it is confirmed not only in the media but by his teammate Ibrahima Konate that Mbappe is totally fine and he would surely play in the match against The Three Lions.
Kylian Mbappe rejoins France training
Konate said ” He preferred to stay indoors [on Tuesday], Konate told a press conference. ‘We are counting on him as on all the players in the group. It was a little recovery session. The day before, we had a day off. I think he decided to stay indoors with the coach, there is nothing to worry about.” So this is surely a relief for the supporters of France as they are already missing the Ballon dor winner Karim Benzema and if Kylian would have also been injured, their hopes to win the competition would have taken a massive hit.
The striker is currently the top scorer in the World Cup with 5 goals with the most recent contribution coming in the Round of 16 when he scored a brace against Robert Lewandowski’s Poland. And because of his style of play and the threat that he is, the defending champions managed to top their group. So this clearly states that he is in sensational form and he has the potential to single-handedly decide the result of the game. All in all, now that he is back, Gareth Southgate needs to get his tactics perfect against him.
