Brazil’s Gabriel Jesus, Alex Telles Are Ruled Out of World Cup 2022; Know Injury Details

In shocking news earlier, it was confirmed that Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles are both ruled out of the FIFA World Cup 2022, which puts an end to their much-anticipated campaign in Brazil before the crucial knockout stages.

Gabriel Jesus and Alex Telles have apparently picked injuries in a very terrible timing, in their final match of the group stages against Cameroon on Friday evening, right before the beginning of their crucial round of 16 matches.

Gabriel Jesus, who also plays for the Premier League team Arsenal, was confirmed to be out for at least three to four weeks for recovery and treatment after he felt a sharp pain in his right knee, as per the sources.

Jesus, Telles injury details

Sources also claimed this injury is not new, and he has been carrying it around the injury since the Arsenal fixtures.

This has crushed the Arsenal striker’s hopes of shining in the World Cup; he previously failed to score a single goal for Brazil back in 2018 Russia and has repeated the same fate in 2022 Qatar with limited minutes he spent on the pitch.

However, Telles is in an even more horrible state. According to the sources, the full-back might have the necessity to undergo full-fledged surgery after the confirmation is received from further tests about how bad his injury is. His damage is almost identical to Jesus.

Brazil to be the champions?

Brazil was considered to be one of the top contenders to win the 2022 edition of the global showpiece, being everyone’s favorite, but so far, they have had a stroke of nasty luck and injury-infested players one after the other; Neymar being the first fall in their inaugural match itself, followed by Jesus and Telles now.

Despite the ill luck, the show must go on, and it will go on as the South American giants are all set to face miraculous South Korea in the round of 16. In this World Cup full of shockers, miracles, and upsets, it wouldn’t be too surprising if the team that beat Ronaldo’s Portugal also end up kicking out Brazil because of their impeccable timing during the injuries.
