Barcelona’s injury woes worsen as Araujo reported to be out for at least 6-7 weeks

The club football season has indeed taken a break of 2 weeks and the players are back on International duties for their respective national teams. With that in mind, there are 18 players from FC Barcelona who have called up by their national team which includes the likes of Depay, De Jong, Gavi, Pedri, Busquets, Debele, Kounde, Lewandowski, Araujo and many more.

However, the break hasn’t been good to the Spanish giants cause their star defender Ronald Araujo got injured within the first 1 minute of the match which he played for Uruguay.

Now Araujo’s injury is more serious than it was earlier reported in the Spanish media cause now it is believed that he has suffered a fracture in his thigh area which is simply shocking for the club. And hence, as a result it is widely reported now that the defender might miss around 6-7 weeks of action.

Barcelona’s long list of injured players

By this, it entirely states that Xavi won’t be having his lead centre-back for the crucial month of October in which Barca has to face the likes of Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and also their biggest game of the season against Real Madrid.

Araujo could have even been out for the rest of the year if he had chosen to go for surgery but just because it is a World Cup year he decided not to go for it. However, that is not the only injury that Xavi has to face cause it is also reported that the likes of Frenkie De Jong, Memphis Depay, Kounde and also Dembele have been injured.

Hence, now it would be interesting to see how Barca manage to overcome this situation.
