Given the new ball in the second over of the match and in his maiden ICC World event, Arshdeep sent back captain Babar off his first ball, despite being the villain in their previous meeting.

Grief at one end, greeting at the other. He didn’t stop there, as he also bounced the highest-ranked T20i player in the world, MO Rizwan, giving India the perfect start.

After a flurry of wickets in the powerplay, Shan and Iftikhar batted through the middle overs, offering the threat of a big total. After veteran seamer Shami provided the breakthrough, it was all Hardik Pandya.

Hardik took two wickets in an over to dismiss Haider and Shadab. It’s time to pay attention to Hardik’s exploits against Pakistan, as they appear to be his favorite opponents.
